Richard began his career at David Jones where he worked for 16 years and held many
senior leadership roles. In 2017, Richard joined Heinemann Australia (Heinemann), the
Duty Free retailer, where he led the Australian and New Zealand subsidiary in the role of
Managing Director.
While at Heinemann, Richard spearheaded one of the largest valued Australian retail
leasing transactions securing the Duty Free Lease at Sydney Airport for 7 year as well as
a number of other acquisitions. Richard was appointed to the Chairman of the
Australian Duty Free Association and Board member of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail
Association.

Richard was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Group on 1 February 2022.
