Davide travels the world sharing his love and passion for all things Pizza and we welcome him back to Melbourne Australia on our Basile Stand where he will share his secrets and discuss everything pizza including flour strengths, hydration, techniques and passion in creating the ultimate Contemporary Neapolitan Pizza using iconic Italian brands proudly imported into Australia by Basile Imports
Davide started working at the age of 9 in the pizzeria “Da Gennaro” of Vincenzo Costa, where he learnt all the secrets of the pizza trade and where he spent many years perfecting his craft and the art of pizza and that of life. Shortly after his 18th birthday the time had come to begin his professional path and joined Rossopomodoro. Lots of experimenting and pizza offerings and experience led him to achieve an important goal: the victory, in 2013, of the 12th World Championship of Pizza Maker “Caputo Trophy”. This victory marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration with Caputo Flour and now 10 years later Davide is recognised worldwide as the Master Pizza Chef for Caputo Flour. Davide has a wealth of product knowledge, all the details behind the ingredients, and the best way to use them and his approach is to never miss an opportunity to learn something new everyday and to always approach the job with the same enthusiasm as on the first day
